CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- State regulators are preparing for a triennial review of West Virginia's water quality standards.
The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection says the review will begin in 2013. The department is seeking input from the public on potential revisions to the standards.
The deadline for submitting proposed revisions is Oct. 12. They can include revising an existing standard, adding a standard or deleting a standard.
The existing standards are posted on the DEP's website at www.dep.wv.gov/WWE/Programs/wqs.
