CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin will present more than $1 million to dozens of arts groups to help expand their programs.

Tomblin will present the grants to 45 organizations across the state today at the state Capitol.

The Arts Partners and Community Support Project grants are funded by The National Endowment for the Arts and the West Virginia State Legislature, and administered by the West Virginia Division of Culture and History.

The recipients are selected by the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.

Prizes range from around $800 for small heritage and preservation organizations to more than $90,000 for the Clay Center for Arts and Sciences in Charleston and the Oglebay Institute in Wheeling.
