Ride for Recovery begins on Saturday morning at state Capitol

The inaugural Ride for Recovery will be held at the state Capitol Complex Saturday beginning at 8 a.m.

The event is sponsored by the West Virginia Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Inc., and Dry Riders Clean & Sober.

A brief ceremony will be held on the state Capitol steps at 9 a.m. and riders will depart Charleston by 10 a.m., then move on to Clarksburg for lunch and then Parkersburg for dinner and entertainment, according to a notice posted on the state Department of Health and Human Resources' website.
