Golden retriever Roxy (left) and Shaka, a "goldendoodle," were two of a handful of dogs that went for a swim Friday at Cato Park in Charleston. The pool's dog swim continues all weekend, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. There is no admission charge, but donations of food, cleaning supplies, blankets, towels and money are being accepted for the Kanawha-Charleston Animal Shelter, said Cheryl Gaynor, senior program director for the city's Parks and Recreation Department (and owner of Roxy and Shaka).
