OAK HILL, W.Va. -- A Fayette County woman was arrested Thursday in connection with a hit-and-run accident earlier in the week near Oak Hill.

Ruth Ann Owens, also known as Ruth Ann Fleshman, of Minden, was arrested in a house in Minden and charged with unlawful taking of a vehicle, driving with a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury, according to Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler.

Owens allegedly hit her boyfriend, Larry Gill, with Gill's Dodge truck near Oak Hill before 11:30 p.m. Sept. 11, before allegedly fleeing with the vehicle back to the Minden area.

Gill was taken to CAMC General Hospital, in Charleston, where he was listed in critical but stable condition after the incident.

Owens was arraigned and released on a $5,000 bond.
