Rockefeller hosts forum on teen drug use

WHEELING, W.Va. -- Federal officials are gathering in Wheeling to talk about a growing problem in West Virginia - prescription drug abuse among teenagers.

U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller is hosting the Saturday afternoon meeting at Wheeling Park High School.

Representatives from the Office of National Drug Control Policy, law enforcement, mental health groups and education officials will talk about the gateways to addiction. They'll also discuss where addiction leads, how to treat it and how to prevent it.

Among those set to appear on the panel are U.S. Attorney William Ihlenfeld, Ohio County schools Superintendent Dianna Vargo, pharmacist J.J. Bernabei.
