MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The commissioner of the Big 12 will serve as honorary marshal for West Virginia University's first homecoming parade in the new athletic conference.

Bob Bowlsby will lead the festivities in Morgantown on Sept. 28.

He'll also be recognized during the halftime ceremony of the WVU-Baylor game the following day -- the Mountaineers' first Big 12 game.

Bowlsby was named commissioner earlier this year.

Before that, he was athletic director at Stanford University. He also served 15 years as chief administrator for athletics at the University of Iowa.

The parade is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. on High Street.
