MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University is showing off its new, $160 million greenhouse project.

Professors tell WBOY-TV the greenhouse will be filled with plants during the next few months and will provide an improved learning environment for agricultural students.

The new greenhouse replaced one built in the 1960s. Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design Dean Daniel Robison says the investment will go far because it will provide students better facilities and continue the school's rich tradition in agriculture.

WVU was founded in 1867 as the Agricultural College of West Virginia.

Assistant Professor of horticulture Nicole Waterland says the greenhouse and the new microscopes and other equipment will "add a whole new dynamic" to what they've been teaching.
