ST. ALBANS, W.Va. -- A St. Albans man was arrested Saturday after his girlfriend made a Facebook post saying she was being held against her will.

Kanawha County sheriff's deputies went to a mobile home in the Whispering Way Trailer Park about 6 p.m. Saturday after a friend of the victim called police, according to Capt. Sean Crosier, of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department. The friend said Tessa Dawn Buckner, 18, of St. Albans, had posted on Facebook that she was being held against her will at the mobile home.

When they got there, deputies found a large group of people standing outside the mobile home, Crosier said. The crowd told deputies there was a disturbance inside.

Steven Adam Young, 19, came out of the mobile home and said everything was fine, but deputies investigated and found Buckner inside. Buckner told deputies Young had punched her in the face; her face had noticeable swelling, Crosier said.

Young was arrested and charged with domestic battery. He was free on bond Monday morning.
