Charleston-Kanawha Housing Authority board of commissioners has changed its regular meeting to 10 to 11 a.m. Sept. 26 at Jarrett Terrace, 824 Central Ave.
Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority officers and board of directors will meet Sept. 28 at the Central Office, 601 Brooks St. The officers will meet at 11 a.m. in the new training conference room. Winfield General Admission Show Choir will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 28 in the school cafeteria. The price of the dinner is $5 a plate, which includes spaghetti, salad, bread, drink and dessert. All money will go toward the show choir's upcoming competition season. The football game begins at 7 p.m.
Town of Marmet will have a dance featuring Buck Matheny's Classic Country from 7 to 10 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Marmet Recreation Center. Tickets are $8. Kanawha County Public Library's winter hours begin in October for the Charleston Main Library and St. Albans Branch Library. Those libraries will be open on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. until April.
Big Coal River Branch of the Coal River Group will sponsor the second annual Big Coal River Heritage Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 29 at John Slack Park, Racine. Old-fashioned music, tours of the one-room schoolhouse, quilt displays, crafts, history and culture will be featured.
Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge will present a program featuring the work of photographer Joe Henry at 6 p.m. Sept. 29 at its location, 6263 Appalachian Highway, Davis. "Canaan Valley and Dolly Sods Fall Color: Seasonal and Weather Transitions" is free and is part of the Leaf Peepers Celebration in Tucker County. Light refreshments will be served.
