Disaster aid centers opening in 4 counties

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency is opening disaster recovery centers in Fayette, Kanawha, Nicholas and Raleigh counties to help people whose property was damaged during the June 29 windstorm.

The centers will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will be on hand to provide information. Before going to a disaster recovery center, people with storm losses should register with FEMA. Registration is available online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by phone at 800-621-FEMA (3362). Lines are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
