BLUEFIELD, W.Va. -- Bluefield is cracking down on scofflaws who haven't paid police and court fees.

Chief financial officer Claude Crigger says some unpaid fees are at least three years old.

The Bluefield Daily Telegraph says City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to hire Rossman Collection Services to collect the fees.

City Attorney Brian Cochran says many people might not know they owe a fine.
