Man arrested following robbery of Nicholas County convenience store

SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. -- A Richwood man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the robbery of a Nicholas County convenience store.

Thomas Christian Caufield, 29, of Richwood, allegedly used a handgun to hold up a Go-Mart convenience store in Nettie at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to Nicholas County Sheriff Wetzel Bennett.

Caulfield was charged with armed robbery. He was being held without bond at the Central Regional Jail in Sutton on Thursday.
