TODAY:

McTeacher's Night Fundraiser: will take place at the McDonald's restaurant on Washington Street East from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday to benefit Capital High School. Capital High teachers and staff will work in the restaurant during the event. A percentage of sales from the fundraiser will be donated to the school.

South Charleston Chamber of Commerce and the Woman's Club of South Charleston: are hosting a Supreme Court candidates forum beginning with refreshments and hors d'oeuvres at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Woman's Club of South Charleston, 214 D St. Candidates and the public will have an opportunity to visit with one another. FUTURE EVENTS:

Charleston City Council of Beta Phi International Sorority: will meet Thursday at the South Charleston Municipal Court Building. The convention committee will meet at 6 p.m., the board will meet at 6:45 p.m. and the general business meeting will begin at 7 p.m. President Anne Stone will conduct the business meeting. All officers and committee members are urged to attend. Guest chapter is Preceptor Alpha. The vice presidents from each chapter will meet following the business meeting to finalize plans for the Preferential Tea.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8516: will have a fall ramp dinner beginning 11 a.m. Saturday at the post, 232 Pinch Road, Elkview. For questions, call Robert Moore at 304-965-5055.

Town of Marmet: will sponsor a dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Marmet Recreation Center. Tickets are $8. The Stan McDaniel Band will be featured. Concession stand will be open and will feature hot dogs, barbecues, soft drinks and more. Dancers and non-dancers are welcome. Call Barry Pauley at 304-949-9692.
