BEAVER, W.Va. -- Eighteen Mine Safety and Health Administration investigators are receiving training by the FBI in West Virginia.

MSHA says the FBI Laboratory's Evidence Response Team Unit is conducting the two-week course on accident investigations at the National Mine Health and Safety Academy in Beaver. The training began Sept. 24 and continues through Friday.

The training covers securing an accident scene, photographing and sketching, collecting and packaging evidence, conducting interviews, dealing with false or altered records, and releasing the scene.
