Two federal inmates in state charged in 2007 slaying

WHEELING, W.Va. -- Two inmates at a federal prison in West Virginia are charged with killing a fellow prisoner in 2007.

Federal authorities announced the indictments of Patrick Andrews and Kevin Bellinger on Wednesday in a news release.

A federal grand jury on Tuesday charged both Andrews and Bellinger with second-degree murder and murder by a federal prisoner serving a life sentence.

Andrews and Bellinger are accused of killing inmate Jesse Harris at the U.S. Penitentiary at Hazelton on Oct. 7, 2007.

If convicted, Andrews could face the federal death penalty while Bellinger could face life in prison.

Both Andrews and Bellinger are serving life sentences at the Hazelton prison.
