CLENDENIN, W.Va. -- Kanawha County sheriff's deputies area looking for someone who shot a Clendenin man early this morning.

Robin White, 60, of Wednesday Lane, told deputies he was awakened about midnight by the barking of his dogs, according to Capt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department. When he went out on his porch to investigate, White said he was attacked by a white man who pushed him to the floor and shot him in the leg. The man then ran off.

White then phoned a nearby relative, who took him to CAMC General Hospital, Crosier said.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s or early 40s with an unshaven face. White did not know what kind of gun the man had, Crosier said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office at 304-357-0169.
