CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Wednesday night drug bust allegedly netted 900 oxycodone pills and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash, and landed a Charleston man in jail.

According to a criminal complaint on file in Kanawha County Magistrate Court, Kanawha County sheriff's deputies allegedly had a confidential informant buy several oxycodone pills in Kanawha City on Wednesday from Eric Kelly Simmons, 27, of 56th Street. Deputies then got a search warrant for Simmons' house.

When they went to the home later, deputies allegedly found about 900 oxycodone pills, the complaint says. Deputies also allegedly found several handguns and rifles and almost $36,000 in cash in Simmons' bedroom. Deputies also allegedly recovered $300 in marked bills that had been used to buy the drugs.

Simmons was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was in the South Central Regional Jail on Thursday on a $100,000 cash only bond.
