Police investigating Putnam cattle truck accident

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A tractor-trailer carrying cattle overturned Saturday afternoon, but injuries appear to be minor.

According to a dispatcher for the Putnam County 911 center, the accident occurred about noon near the Buffalo Bridge on W.Va. 35. The driver received minor injuries.

The cattle never got loose, and they were transferred to another trailer and taken away.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
