CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A boil-water advisory is in effect for around 300 West Virginia American Water customers in the Red House and Putnam Union areas of Putnam County.
The affected area includes W.Va. 34 from Round Knob Road to Confidence Elementary School before Low Gap Road, Grandview Ridge Road from W.Va. 34 to Steele Ridge Road, Lone Oak Road, Wilkie Road and Antioch Road.
Crews were working Sunday o repair a water main break on Lone Oak Road, which drained a storage tank.
Once water service is restored, affected customers should boil their water before consumption until further notice.
