Rockefeller to discuss U.S. efforts on state tourism

SHEPHERTDSTOWN, W.Va. -- The Governor's Conference on Tourism enters its second day in Shepherdstown with remarks by U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller.

The West Virginia Democrat is scheduled to focus on federal efforts at increasing tourism during his address today. The conference brings together representatives from the travel industry, state and local officials and others with the aim of increasing visitors to West Virginia attractions.

The conference will include remarks from the state Department of Commerce, the U.S. Travel Association, and marketing experts. It concludes on Wednesday.
