CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia American Water has issued a precautionary boil-water advisory for about 50 residential customers on Lick Creek Road in the Ashford area of Boone County. The advisory follows a water main break. Customers may experience low water pressure or a disruption in water service until the break is repaired, and should boil their water for one full minute before use.

Beckley Water Company has issued a boil-water advisory for Maple Fork Road from Carlos Drive to the entrance of Maple Valley Estates, including Carlos Drive and all side streets.

Customers in those areas should boil their water for one full minute before use.
