St. Albans Coin Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 in the St. Albans Municipal Building, 1499 MacCorkle Ave.
Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Chi Master Chapter, will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at the home of Agatha Worley. A Halloween party will follow the meeting.
Criminal Justice Career Fair will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 25 at the West Virginia State University Wilson Student Union, Institute. More than 20 law enforcement representatives will participate. Recruiters will inform attendees about job opportunities and options in the criminal justice and law enforcement fields, and will deliver short presentations about their respective organizations.
Kanawha County Garden Association will hold a public screening of the critically acclaimed documentary "A Community of Gardeners" at 6 p.m. Oct. 25 at Habitat for Humanity, 815 Court St. The film explores the vital role of urban community gardens. West Virginia University Extension Service is also sponsoring the film.
Greenbrier Democratic Women's Club will have its annual covered-dish dinner and auction at 6 p.m. Oct. 26 at St. James Episcopal Church, Lewisburg. All area Democrats are encouraged to attend. Candidates will speak before and after dinner. The club will provide chicken and drinks and attendees are asked to bring a covered dish and an item for the auction. Parking is available on the Court Street side of the church.
Buffalo High School Music Boosters will sponsor a Longaberger Basket Bingo at 6 p.m. Nov. 3 at Buffalo High School. The boosters are raising money for their upcoming Disney trip. Play 16 games for $20, with five additional special games for $1 each. All baskets will be filled and door prizes will be given away. Doors open at 5 p.m. and concessions will be available. YWCA will hold its 26th annual Thanksgiving Benefit Dinner to Aid the Homeless from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at St. George Orthodox Cathedral. The dinner features a traditional Thanksgiving feast and live music. Tickets are $30; children under 10 get in free. Proceeds benefit the YWCA Sojourner's Shelter for homeless women and families. Co-sponsors are Wellington's Catering and Café, Corey Brothers, St. George Orthodox Cathedral and the city of Charleston. Greenbrier Historical Society and North House Museum will present an exhibit on education in Greenbrier County in celebration of 200 years in education in Lewisburg. The exhibit at the North House is free and will run through Nov. 12.
