Ohio man sentenced in W.Va. bath salts case
WHEELING -- The first person convicted in West Virginia on federal bath salts distribution charges will spend two years in prison.
U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld said Tuesday that 35-year-old Steven Kohl of Columbus, Ohio, will be on supervised release for two years after he completes his sentence.
Kohl pleaded guilty in July to aiding and abetting interstate travel in aid of a racketeering enterprise. The charge stems from his role in bringing the synthetic drugs to Tyler County from Columbus in September 2011.
Kohl was sentenced last week in U.S. District Court in Wheeling.
