CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A St. Albans man accused of swiping an elderly lady's keys and driving off in her car, which was parked in the CAMC General Hospital parking garage, rejected a plea agreement Wednesday in Kanawha Circuit Court, a prosecutor said.

Brent Edward Prouse turned down a plea agreement in which prosecutors offered to lump a slew of unrelated grand larceny, breaking and entering, and burglary charges into one second-degree robbery charge, assistant Kanawha County prosecutor Maryclaire Akers said.

Prouse arrested earlier this month after he was reportedly identified in security footage taken in the CAMC parking garage. He allegedly walked up to Mildred Carper, 80, grabbed her keys and took off in her Jeep Liberty.

He is being held in South Central Regional Jail on $100,000 bond. He has not been indicted on the grand larceny charges. Kanawha Circuit Judge Charles King rejected a motion Wednesday to reduce Prouse's bond amount.
