HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall University is sponsoring a summit to help people protect themselves from cyber bullying and other forms of online harassment.

The summit is scheduled for Oct. 30 at the Memorial Student Center on the Huntington campus.

Organizers say the free safety summit will show how Internet users can combat cyber bullying, avoid the dangers of social media and shelter themselves from computer-based scams.

The summit is sponsored by the FBI, the Appalachian Institute of Digital Evidence and Marshall's Department of Integrated Science and Technology.
