CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Past and present military service members and their families can use U.S. Army Corp of Engineers' boat-launch ramps for free on Veterans Day.
The corps says day-use fees are being waived for service members and veterans on Nov. 11. The corps operates more than 2,400 recreation areas nationwide and offers boating at 18 lakes in West Virginia.
The fee waiver requires only a verbal confirmation of service.
It doesn't apply to camping and related services or fees for specialized facilities such as group picnic shelters.
