HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall University broke ground Monday on a new engineering complex.

The celebration for the start of construction on the $50 million Arthur Weisberg Family Applied Engineering Complex in Huntington was moved inside because of bad weather, but went ahead as planned, said Marshall spokesman Dave Wellman.

The 145,000-square-foot complex is expected to open in February 2015.

The building is named for Arthur Weisberg, president of Arthur's Enterprises and founder of State Electric Supply Co. Arthur's Enterprises made a substantial gift pledge to the Marshall University Foundation to help pay for the complex.
