PAGE, W.Va. -- A Fayette County man was shot late Thursday after allegedly pointing a gun at State Police troopers who had come to search his home in Page.

State troopers from the Oak Hill detachment went to the home of Ronald Reese, 55, on South Page Road at about 10 p.m. to execute a search warrant, according to State Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Baylous. On entering the home, Reese pointed a gun at troopers and was shot, Baylous said.

Baylous said Reese's wounds were not life-threatening. Reese was taken to CAMC General Hospital for treatment.
