Torchbearer Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority will meet Nov. 5 at the home of Peggy Cavender, who will present the program. President Suzanne Patterson will preside over the business meeting following the program. Patterson and Co-Chairwoman Sandra Medley will give a brief overview of the recent West Virginia Beta Sigma Phi Convention.

Preceptor Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Kanawha Turnpike, Spring Hill. President Charlotte Bowling will conduct the business meeting. Hostess is Carolyn Rollins. Refreshments will follow. Service is containers for Manna Meal, tabs for Ronald McDonald House and magazines for the veterans clinic. Also bring items to sell for the animal rescue for Paws to Shop.

Kanawha Valley Coin Club will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at the South Charleston Public Library. Call 304-562-6917 or 304-727-4062 for information.

River City Youth Ballet will present a short performance at area libraries featuring selections from their fall show, "Music in Motion: Dances to West Virginia Artists." Also included will be selections from "The Nutcracker." Children of all ages are invited to attend and meet some of the cast members. Library staff will present ballet stories and activities. All ages are welcome. Participating libraries and the schedules are: Main Library, 6 p.m. Nov. 5; Sissonville Branch Library, 2 p.m. Nov. 6; Cross Lanes Branch Library, 7 p.m. Nov. 8; and Glasgow Branch Library, 6 p.m. Dec. 18.
