CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A 20-year-old man died Saturday afternoon after a train hit him.

Sgt. David Campbell of the Hurricane Police Department said the young man was walking down the tracks near Hurricane High School. Campbell said that his investigation shows so far that the man did not appear to see or hear the approaching train.

Campbell said they notified the family of Michael Eads of his death. Eads was from the Hurricane area, Campbell said.
