Project to recognize W.Va.'s military members

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Photos are being sought for a state project recognizing West Virginia's military members.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin's office said the photos will be displayed on a "Military Recognition'' tree at the Capitol. The tree will be in the governor's reception room during the holiday season.

Tomblin said in a news release that the tree is a way to display gratitude to West Virginians serving in the military.

Photos can be submitted to the governor's office through Nov. 23. A form and tag can be downloaded from the governor's website, www.governor.wv.gov.

Submitted photos won't be returned. They will be kept at the Governor's Mansion.
