Brush fire burns at least 400 acres in Mercer

GREEN VALLEY, W.Va. -- A brush fire in Mercer County has burned at least 400 acres.

Media outlets reported that the fire broke out Sunday afternoon near a residence in Green Valley. Two structures were endangered but neither caught fire.

Firefighters from four area volunteer fire departments and the state Division of Forestry responded to the fire.
