CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Today's canvass of the general election in Kanawha County shows no changes in local races.
The race that could have changed, in the 35th House District, narrowed but did not change.
Republican John McCuskey maintained his lead over Democratic incumbent Bobbie Hatfield. McCuskey finished fourth in the race and Hatfield fifth.
The original vote total showed McCuskey winning by 64 votes. Following the canvass, which looks at provisional ballots, his lead stood at 41 votes.
