BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. -- State regulators are monitoring the cleanup of a gasoline spill at an Eastern Panhandle station.

The Department of Environmental Protection says about 350 gallons spilled Monday night at a Sheetz station in Berkeley Springs. It occurred while a truck was filling an underground storage tank on the property.

The DEP says the spill was cleaned up by Tuesday morning. The cause remains under investigation.

Gasoline also went into a nearby stream. Booms were placed in the stream to prevent gasoline from flowing further downstream.
