THE KANAWHA TRAIL CLUB HIKE: Elk River Trail. Carpool at 1:30 p.m. from Ohio and Randolph streets. Regroup at Elkview Community Center. The hike is 2 to 3 miles on an easy railroad grade.

ST. JOHN GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH BAKE SALE AND DINNER: Noon to 6 p.m., at the church, 3512 MacCorkle Ave. S.E. Combination dinners are $14.
