Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Hurricane: is accepting donations of gently-used toys for their Little Drummer Boy Toy Sale, which will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 at the church. The toys will be resold for $1 each to lower-income parents who may not otherwise be able to purchase toys for their children. All proceeds will go toward future outreaches. Music:

The Brighterside Quartet: will sing at 7 p.m. today at Rush Creek Baptist Church, Speed. They will also sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Prosperity.

The Bowen Family: will sing at 7 p.m. Monday at Lucy Wilson Baptist Church, Wills Creek, Elkview.

The Mission Circle of First Missionary Baptist Church of Vandalia: will present Anna E. Gilmer in concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church at 1500 Mountain Road.

Heaven's Call Trio: will sing at 7 p.m. Sunday at Slaughters Creek Memorial Freewill Baptist Church. They will also sing at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Harvey Chapel in Leon.

Glasgow Church of the Nazarene: will have a gospel sing at 6 p.m. today at the church. The Laborers Quartet, The Taylor Brothers and The Harbor Masters will be singing. The Jay Humphreys Trio: will sing at 7 p.m. today at Thorofare Church, Clendenin.

The Huffman Family: will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Parsons Chapel, Sixth Avenue.

The last Sunday the Rev. Darin Freeman: will preach is the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 205 Donnally St. Come to wish Pastor Freeman best wishes and bring a friend. For information, call 304-342-4766.

Good Shepherd Free will Baptist Church: 5470 West Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, will have Sunday school at 10 a.m. Sunday. The morning worship service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jason C. Black preaching. The evening worship starts at 6 p.m. Sunday with the church singers and choir singing and Pastor Jason C. Black preaching. There will be no prayer meeting or youth group meeting Wednesday because the church will join Altizer Freewill Baptist Church celebrating communion/feet-washing services.

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Charleston: will hold a Thanksgiving service from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the church, corner of Bradford and Lee streets.

Hissom Tabernacle Church of the Nazarene: corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Spring Street, across from Foodland, will be distributing Thanksgiving Baskets today following a 9 a.m. Thanksgiving service featuring the Rev. Earl Cochran speaking and music by Rodney Newhouse. Food pantry ministers will be recognized and honored in the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service, followed by the Thanksgiving Dinner served at 12:30 p.m. For more information, call Pastor Bonnie Hissom at 304-343-7046.
