CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Dunbar City Council members voted Monday evening to approve $31,427 in routine expenditures, Mayor Jack Yeager said.

The expenditures include:

* $2,500 in repairs to the bingo building to be performed by Commercial Roofing.

* $5,000 bid for a new heating and air conditioning unit at the Kshirsagar building.

* $12,622 for a new boom lift from United Rentals.

* $8,000 bid for construction of a drain system on Payne Avenue.

Yeager said that council agreed to spend $3,305 on 50 tons of road salt. About 125 tons are still left over from last winter, he said.

The Christmas tree lighting at city hall is scheduled for Nov. 30, and the annual Christmas parade will be Dec. 7, Yeager said.
