FUTURE EVENTS

Greenbrier Historical Society will have its 12th Annual Stellar Evening at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Greenbrier Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau, 200 W. Washington St., Lewisburg. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served courtesy of Blackwell's Catering. Dancing and a silent auction will be held. Tickets for Stellar Evening are $75 per person and must be reserved by Nov. 27. Contact the Greenbrier Historical Society at 304-645-3398 or info@greenbrierhistorical.org. You can also stop by the North House, 301 W. Washington St. in Lewisburg, to reserve a ticket. All proceeds benefit the Greenbrier Historical Society and North House Museum. 

The Appalachian Center for Independent Living will have its 12th Annual Community Christmas Party on Dec. 1 at the National Guard Armory in Charleston. Live entertainment will feature No Regret (upcoming and versatile) from 11 a.m. to noon; Once Blue Band (bluegrass) from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.; Tommy Griffith (gospel) from 1:15 to 2 p.m.; and No Regret from 2 to 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served. A silent auction, raffles, door prizes, Santa Claus and crafts will be featured. Crafters are needed. Table rentals are $20 per table. Call 304-965-0376 to reserve a table.

Putnam County Master Gardeners will hold two wreath-making classes at the Teays Valley Presbyterian Church, 4122 Teays Valley Road, Scott Depot. The first class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 3 and another will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 4. Each class is $15 and different greenery will be provided to make a live wreath. Participants are asked to RSVP with the Putnam County WVU Extension Office at 304-586-0217 and to bring their own pruners.
