Sheila Marie Ray, 40, was arrested in June after being released from CAMC General Hospital. Police say Ray was speeding through Pliny when she hit and killed Pamela Bell, 53, of Salem, Va., who was on a motorcycle, according to a criminal complaint.

Ray also hit a tractor-trailer head on while driving her 2002 Chevrolet Trail Blazer, according to the complaint. The driver of that vehicle was not injured, according to previous reports.

Results of a crash investigation found that Ray "never touched her vehicle brakes and according to witness statements she never swerved or attempted to avoid the crash," the complaint states.

At the scene of the accident, police photographed a pill bottle in Ray's purse that, according to the complaint, contained 16 Seroquel, a powerful anti-psychotic drug. Police say the bottle didn't have a name on it.

Test results of Ray's blood and urine showed several controlled substances, according to the complaint, including amphetamines, methamphetamine, quetiapine (Seroquel), diazepam, clonazepam, midazolam, pseudoephedrine, oxazepam, temazepam, lorazepam, marijuana and fentanyl.

Her indictment was one of 60 returned by a Putnam County grand jury late last week.

An indictment is not a finding of guilt. It only means that the grand jury believes there is enough evidence of a crime to merit a jury trial. Those indicted include:
