MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Three Martinsburg men will spend a year on probation for pointing a laser at an aircraft.

U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld says in a news release that the 20-year-old defendants also must perform 120 hours of community service.

Ihlenfeld says the defendants admitted a laser pointer at an aircraft near the Martinsburg Airport in July. He didn't identify them.

Each defendant entered into a pretrial diversion agreement. Ihlenfeld says he reserves the right to prosecute the men if they violate the conditions of their agreements.
