20th Century Images: The 'Glass Plant'
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- This aerial view of what used to be called simply the "Glass Plant" was actually two separate glass plants -- the Owens Bottle Works on the left and The Libbey-Owens-Ford plant on the right. Both have been long closed and demolished, ending a long life of American prosperity that now has been sold out to China and others overseas. Photo courtesy West Virginia State Archives
