Fund collects $8,100 in first week of giving
Advertiser

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Gazette Charities Christmas Fund collected more than $8,100 in its first week.

It's a strong statement from our readers and friends in the community, but the need is great, so we hope the response continues to be as generous as we move closer and closer to the end of the holiday season.

The 2012 fund drive is for the benefit of the people in our community who turn to 10 local charities during their time of need.

If you haven't already given, please consider a donation. No amount is too small, and the Gazette covers all administrative costs of the fund, so every penny goes to people who need a hand.

To donate, look for the donation coupon with this story or go to wvgazette.com and click on the Christmas Fund logo.
