CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Dunbar's annual Christmas parade will be held Friday at 7 p.m., Mayor Jack Yeager said. Santa Claus will be on hand, and the parade moves down Dunbar Avenue.

During a City Council meeting Monday, Yeager said council agreed to pay about $1,200 for Dunbar's inclusion in the Midland Trail guide, which helps market the city to tourists.

Also, council decided that Teed and Associates would conduct the city's annual audit for each of the next three years, Yeager said.

Christmas carolers with the Dunbar First Church of God also stopped by city hall to sing carols during the meeting.
