The West Virginia Humanities Council invites the public to its 2012 Holiday Open House from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday at the historic MacFarland-Hubbard House. Built in 1836, the house serves as the Humanities Council headquarters. Decorators have been at work in the house's historic downstairs rooms creating an early 19th-century theme. Guests are invited to enjoy a traditional evergreen and poinsettia motif complemented by fruit and other objects from nature. For more information, call 304-346-8500 or email wvhu...@wvhumanities.org.
