FUTURE EVENTS

Kanawha Trail Club: will sponsor a hike to Little Creek Park, Trace Fork Canyon, on Sunday. Meet at 1:30 p.m. to carpool from Ohio and Randolph streets. Re-group at area No. 2. The hike is about 4 miles on a trail with moderate grades and no creek crossings. 

Sissonville Public Service District: will hold its regular board meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the district's office at 6438 Sissonville Drive.

Charleston Women's Club,: 1600 Virginia St. E., will have its "Silver Bells in the City" brunch from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the club. The Senior Moments Band will provide entertainment. Chef Joe Reckard from The Green House of Teays Valley will give a food demo. Francine Kashchy of Fairfax, Va., will speak. Bring a donation for the hat, scarves, mittens and gloves Christmas tree and be entered into a special drawing. Crown Catering will provide the brunch. Reservation deadline is Dec. 10. West Virginia Landlords: will meet at 6 p.m. for social hour Thursday at Ryan's Steakhouse. The dinner/meeting will follow at 7 p.m. All landlords are welcome. Call 304-342-4342 for information.

Putnam County Democrat Club: will have their annual Christmas dinner/party at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Hometown Senior Citizens building. The club's Democrat of the Year will be announced. Bring canned goods or non-perishable items for the local food pantry. Door prizes and a 50/50 drawing will be featured. Call 304-755-7139 or 304-776-2385 for information.
