W.Va. residents ski free Saturday at Snowshoe
SNOWSHOE, W.Va. -- Snowshoe Mountain Resort is offering a free day of skiing this weekend for West Virginia residents.
A proof of residence is required with Saturday's offer. The slopes will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Snowshoe had 16 groomed trails and five lifts open Thursday with a snow base of 12 to 30 inches.
Snowshoe opened early this year after superstorm Sandy dropped nearly 28 inches of snow at the Pocahontas County resort.
