Aurora home fire was deliberate; victim critical
Advertiser

AURORA, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Fire Marshal's Office says a blaze that left a Preston County man in critical condition was deliberately set.

Assistant Fire Marshal Mackey Ayersman says the explosion and fire in Aurora began about early Tuesday morning.

58-year-old Charles Wayne "Randy" Teeter was in critical condition Thursday at the West Penn Burn Center in Pennsylvania.

Ayersman says the gas line to the kitchen stove had been disconnected, and that's believed to be the source of the explosion.

No one else was home at the time.

Ayersman said a suspicious fire happened at the same location in June, but it wasn't investigated by his office.
