CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A tractor-trailer that jackknifed just before the Oakwood Road exit of Interstate 64 westbound and a second accident about an hour later – involving a police cruiser being struck -- closed all westbound lanes to traffic for a few hours Monday night.

Metro 911 was notified of the tractor-trailer accident, which had closed the middle and fast lanes, shortly after 9:20 p.m. Monday.

Metro dispatchers sent out a notice about the police cruiser being struck just before 10:30 p.m. No injuries were immediately reported.

All lanes reopened about 11:45 p.m.
