MORGANTOWN (AP) - West Virginia University's Board of Governors has approved a plan that calls for more than $320 million in construction and renovations over the next five years.

The board approved the plan during a telephone meeting Thursday.

Some projects are currently under way, including a new engineering research building, an addition to the law school and a new sport sciences building.

Still on the drawing board are an agricultural sciences building, an art museum and student housing.

In October, WVU announced it's partnering with Paradigm Development Group LLC to build a $70 million residential and retail complex called University Place in Sunnyside by fall 2014.

It's all part of WVU's 2020 Strategic Plan for the Future.

Most financing will come from bonds issued last year, a future bond issue and donations.
